Yes, all appointments require a current, up-to-date referral with your eye history, either from your optometrist or GP.

If you're scheduled for a retinal examination, we recommend that you avoid driving to your appointment. It's best to have someone drive you or take public transport, as your eyes will be dilated, making it hard to see clearly for about two hours. This can make driving difficult, and if you're returning to work, you may have trouble reading small print. We also suggest bringing sunglasses, as you may be sensitive to sunlight. For general glaucoma patients, it should be fine to drive to future appointments if preferred. If you want to make sure, please give us a call on 02 9715 1311

For new appointments, please allow up to 2 hours for your appointment and 3 hours if it is a paediatric appointment

Payment is completed on the day of your appointment. If you have any questions about the costs related to your appointment, please don't hesitate to contact us.

If you have an eye emergency, please have someone drive you to the nearest emergency department. Sydney Eye Hospital or Prince of Wales 2 Our Doctors have appointments at Prince of Wales, Bankstown and Westmead Hospitals
